Snaketroidvania
The protagonist of Snake doesn't really want to snake anymore! He is completely fed up with it, eating apples over and over again all day long. Can you even imagine how it's like? Help him bust out of that dumb game.
Arrow keys or WASD to move.
The game was made for Ludum Dare 47 in a weekend.

I liked it. Only problem were the effects, wish there was an options menu since the lag was so much I couldn't get past a lot of places which I could without the lag :(
game's great otherwise tho :)
Cool swag, got stuck later on by accidentally warping to a different room with the wormhole but I would say that only improved the experience
Nice little game, I loved it! The ending was a bit anticlimactic but aside from that the game was great. The idea was really well implemented.
Oh cool that you made it all the way through the game. Haha yeah, the game was made completely solo in a weekend so didn’t quite have time for any grand endings. 😅 Thanks for playing! ❤️
I Love the concept - snake + metroidvania = <3
The controls are finicky = </3.
I think maybe making it turn based or just a tad bit slower would make a huge impact on playability (figuring out when to push the button to turn).
Yeah, for the later parts I was more fighting with the controls rather than playing.
Also, because of lag the snake sometimes behaved oddly, skipping tiles and randomly dying on respawn because of already input controls.
A slower timer or maybe a turn-time indicator / controller would be nice. I think filly turn based would take out some of the snake aspect, but a good idea to fix fighting for control.
Edit.: Nothing like replying to myself from 2 years ago :D
