pretty softlocked unless i defeat these odds, perhaps the bosses should use less numbers over time to show that they are weakening - and with about 1000 damage im sure theyd think im strong enough to join
i have a couple suggestions first an anger ship which changes their ability to the enemy versions and allows them to be leveled up infinitely second a change to the handler the handler would be like the sniper DaFAtCh1ck3 suggested but for birds each level would allow you to control 1 bird each turn
Bug: getting crew from icebergs breaks the boat's position (which already had a crewmember on it), making it offscreen. I think it's related to the forward movement in the animation when the iceberg breaks and the flying crewmember hovers for a while while they say "im forever indebted to you".
IDK if it also happens if you fail at getting the crewmember, or if the boat is empty (with the new crew thus sitting at the boat).
Note that while the boat's position is wrong, it's purely visual, and hovering the mouse over the correct place where it should be triggers the crewmember's tooltip.

apparently my odds are about 1/10000 to hit this guy so im giving up

Heh yeah, can call that a win at that point (or already way way earlier). That's a lot of upgrades if your dice can do 9 damage too!

Navi needs to be boosted because you can only have up to 4 directions so level 3 or more does nothing
when a handler is stunned all the parots do not attack even the ones we got from handler ship and when they are legacied, no parrots appear
I wish the mini boat could also give you more trinket space
